How to correctly adjust an ISRI truck seat?

Adjusted to proper weight thanks to air suspension

Most bus and truck seats have automatic air suspension so that the seat adjusts to the correct weight. After this, however, a number of other features need to be set properly to achieve a proper seating position:

Steps to adjusting the ISRI seat

• Activate the air suspension if the seat does not adjust itself;

• Set the correct seat height;

• Set the correct horizontal distance from the steering wheel;

• Adjust the seat cushion to the correct depth: two fingers space between cushion and knee hollow;

• Adjust the tilt of the seat. Note: better slightly flatter than too much backward;

• Adjust the backrest so that good support can be felt along its entire length. Optionally, on certain models, the shoulder support can be adjusted separately;

• Adjust the lumbar support so that the lower back is well supported;

• If available, adjust the armrest so that the arm can rest in a relaxed position.

Don't forget the handlebars of the ISRI seat.

Adjust the handlebar so that in a relaxed position, the top of the handlebar is easily accessible and the wrist can rest on the top of the handlebar. Finally, make sure that when coupling, shifting and steering, the body is not disengaged from the seat.
